How did an American end up becoming a resident of Crimea? Are there other Americans there?
-Back in 2007, Obama and his Wall Street, Fannie Mae and the rest of the Jews thought it would be cute to crash the construction industry—like they did soooo many others prior to 2006, 7, 8. I got caught up in it so couldn’t find a job in construction management or anything decent using my tools.
I put my resumé online and surprise—an American working for a Moscow/Kiev construction company asked me to come to Kiev for an interview. They hired me right away for a huge resort/marina/ condo project in Yalta, Crimea. I had another American working with me as an office project manager. It was a great job, but I had to find an interpreter. Their designs and engineering were also in a different format. The Russians have a name or 5 for every one of ours. I have never gotten great at the language—just enough to get around. I prefer English, Spanish and French. So in 2008 I moved to Yalta—on Chekov Street, no less— to start my new life with the Ukies, Russkies, Tatars and others. My interpreter Max is still my best friend. What a strange destiny we find—while looking for work, friends or different places.
