In Kampot (pop 43,000), I ran into some cool teens. One boy sported shades and a buzz cut. On his black T-shirt was this in huge letters, “FUCK THE SCORE UP IT.” A pale, pretty girl next to him wore red lipstick and hoodie in the faintest green. In Hà Tiên (pop 90,000), I caught an underdressed young man showing off the pricey tattoos on his arms and legs. A motorbike helmet prevented this hep cat from wearing his baseball cap, “NC Tar Heels.” I’d be surprised if he knew anything about North Carolina.

Daily Mail headline on 1/11/25, “Families in North Carolina STILL living in tents after Hurricane Helene... now a deadly winter storm is coming.” The US just sent another $500 million to Ukraine so more of its men, plus Russians, can die. Last year, it gave genociding Israel about 24 billion bucks. Most Americans know as much about this as those provincial Southeast Asian hipsters.
