Hi everyone,

I just inserted another paragraph into the coffee section:

The first Vietnamese coffee plantation only appeared in 1888. Now, cafes are more ubiquitous here than anywhere else. A bigger French revolution was in clothing. Even now, a tailor's sign routinely shows the Eiffel Tower. Legal codes are pháp luật, meaning French laws.

Hi Peggy,

It's just some exclamation no one could decipher.

Traditional Vietnamese dress (the au duo) is attractive (and presumably comfortable and practical) without being provocative and distractedly alluring as American (if not Western) female clothing can be.

Some years ago it occurred to me that only in a culture (America) that had largely conquered the crime of rape could women dress the way they sometimes do here. In America a woman (apparently) is expected to display her female attributes to lure and ensnare a man. In some culture perhaps a woman's mind is potentially more alluring than a displayed body?

Because rape has been significantly reduced in the US (with the exception of blacks raping which it isn't polite to discuss) women have had to invent new rape: date rape, eye rape, Any sex that women regret is rape. That is also why in Europe the women who scream about the patriarchy are the same ones who try to cover up immigrants raping. It seems as though the immigrants do the rape white men no longer want to do.

Also enlightening that as rape is being reduced that porn sites find that the demand by women for violent rape porn is booming

"It seems as though the immigrants do the rape white men no longer want to do." ROTFL

"Any sex that women regret is rape." Wow! Has it come to that? I think lawyers have a lot to do w/ that.

Aren't childless cat ladies aka spinsters the female counterparts to incels? Ok, they're older. Their sexual attractiveness hasn't reached expiration date. Not that such dates need be recognized. There're no Cougars Anonymous groups proliferating. No shame in staying in the game, apparently. But for our young men - big shame. The incel situation looks self-defeating, a public declaration of residence in Loserville.

Sometimes it's not the quantity of flesh exposed, but the rarity of its visibility. Catching a flash of bare ankle, for example, was/is in some cultures a wildly erotic moment. Reminds me of an old Alan Watts story:

"See, like the Queen of Spain who, in the days of the 1860s, came on with these enormous skirts and floated into the room, and, you know, was sort of coming on like she was an angel. And somebody, when they were first invented, gave her a present of beautiful silk stockings, a dozen pairs, and sent them to the Queen. And her majesty’s chamberlain replied with a letter returning the stockings and saying, “Her Majesty the Queen of Spain does not have legs.”

Linh,

Hello, we hope all is well your way. I'm able to subscribe again to all websites I'd unsubscribed from including yours. We're still learning and sharing the best truth we can too, like normal, improving the first four posts on my Substack https://michaelatkinson.substack.com/ when we can. The humor there is to help as many more people as possible realize what these > man-made < religions have always been. :)
