Very nice piece. I've often noticed that the act of traveling can put me in a different frame of mind; less inclined to focus on life's annoyances, experiencing or looking forward to breaking life's routine or dwelling on whatever I've most recently chosen to be aggravated about. I sense this may be true with you as well--the tone of your piece today is shifted a bit from some of your recent offerings.

the broken/ok shirt reminds me of the concept of the 'wounded healer' - those who are aware of how they are broken [care about/know how to help] fellow sufferers

jon kabat-zinn found of buddhist-influenced 'mindfulness based stress reduction' - mbsr - says 'as long as you are breathing there is more right with you than wrong with you'

i hope you get to see the river dolphins, said to be the greatest tourist attraction there

at one of the daily mail stories about the killing in israel/palestine i put a quote from folksinger fred neil's song 'dolphins'

"i'm not the one to tell the world

how to get along

i only know that peace will enter

when all hate is gone

i've been searching for the dolphins in the sea

and sometimes i wonder if you ever think of me"

may you be well and find friendly faces, linh
