Though the interview is up at Unz, many comments there are so ugly, I decided to post it here:
To Unzian “Sulu,” Sylvia Wolfe did leave this memorable response:
I find that final comment about the war in Vietnam horrendous. Good God, it damned us all with the implementation and refinement of Operation Popeye, for one. Set the precedent that the enemy is always abroad, the call is never coming from inside the house. Would you be willing to fight me? A fair fight, no weapons, man to woman. I live in central Illinois.

I’d bet the house on Sylvia over the pussified Trekkie! Unhinged belligerence is a sure sign of a terrified “man.”
in March 2004 Adbusters magazine put out the 'infamous' issue that asked "Why Won't Anyone Say They Are Jewish" - from which i learned only 2% of US citizens identify as Jewish, but assert an oversized presence in US politics, finance, and Hollywood (propaganda) - the 2% ratio completely surprised, even shocked me at the time - and the majority of the friends i've had who are jewish have been staunch supporters of Israel which was something of a shock too, for many of them were busy supporting progressive causes - but couldn't see the murder of Palestinians as a problem - 'it just had to be done' - Linh Dinh has not pulled any punches in his condemnation of this disgusting hypocrisy - and i am happy to support him financially in my own small way - for as long as i can
Linh, I really admire the way you handled this interview. Kevin Barrett's heart is in the right place, but there are a few screws loose in his brain compartment.
You, on the other hand, have both a fine mind and a huge heart.
I sometimes force myself to listen to people I know I'll probably disagree with, just for the sake of exercising an open mind. But when I listen to how much time you had to waste during this interview countering Barrett's pie-in-the-sky ideas, I find myself longing to listen to more interviews between people of "like mind." It would allow us to develop our ideas further.
