As a young lad half a century ago, I used to hear that many oldsters would refuse to be taken to the hospital no matter how sick, because “that’s where people go to die.” Some wisdom of the ages, now lost forever?

A very close and dear friend got caught up in that matrix when he checked himself in to Mercy hospital in Chicago. After ten days the undertaker checked him out. He was given the prescribed protocol of Remdesivir because some fake doctor ordered it. I wasn't allowed to visit him but I spoke to him on the phone halfway into his visit there. I asked him, how do you feel? He said, I feel like I could fuckin' walk home right now. When I said, go ahead and leave he replied that he was all wired up and they wouldn't let him out of bed. That was my last memory of him. Grammar school, high school, and a countless number of joints smoked together well into our forties...that's when smoking a joint didn't induce paralysis I might add.
"Remdesivir" aka "Run, Death is Near". He needed to run home, not walk. And after all the table-pounding by the likes of Rand Paul, Anthony Fauci still hasn't faced any real consequences and a Wuhan lab leak is still merely "a theory".

Hi Linh, thanks for continuing to write about this. As you allude to when writing that we don't accurately remember even our own pain, we all suffer from selective memory loss. So it's very important that the foolishness of many, and downright evil of a few, is constantly recalled so that it IS remembered by as many people as possible.
The Jews continue to do this with elderly Germans, so it's only fitting that we do the same with what is probably the largest genocide ever visited upon the planet.
Linh, The covid monstrosity is what drove me into your corner and your common sense view of this world. The separation that occurred in this world between those who still had a brain, and those who had long since parked their brains on autopilot was palpable. And because the consequences of this split were so immense (to the educated fools) they could never, so it has seemed, regain their human (humane) intelligence. I hate to go all biblical, but the Garden of Eden and the apple come to mind. It appears there is no going back from that fateful decision. The only history book really worth reading, I am discovering, is Paradise Lost. Maybe we just need a good sense of dark humor about the whole matter. You certainly do your share to supply that.
It is depressing and frustrating to read about these victims of the Jews. I do not know why Oliver wanted to protect the man's identity, but Oliver's efforts were successful; I am very curious but there are not enough clues to discover who the man was.
All of this is a round-about introduction to the point that Oliver stated that the man was "a singularly perspicacious and devoted American". (The definition of "American" had a specific and exclusive meaning, on which I am not going to elaborate, for Prof. Oliver). Here is an important sentence from the essay:

Those thankless and perhaps worthless people were (are), of course, Whites. Part of my logic was something I read about the Spanish flu, where it was more likely to be deadly towards the people who had a changed (adapted/preferred) immune response to a different type of virus which came from a different region. Then the people who gained that adaption to the other virus would usually die from the Spanish flu in its deadlier iteration.
This was sought out as a explanation to why people in Germany died, somehow at a different rate or timings than other peoples (either farther east or west in Europe, cannot remember specifically which), and those losses led to the 'Lost Generation' in Central Europe, which was the generation who grew into the WW2 era as young men and women.
