Another interesting column, Linh - this time for the non fiction. Those architectural monstrosities are an affront to the soul and it's hard to look past the writing of James Kunstler (who used to run a piece called 'Eyesores of the week' in his blog:

"The argument has been made that Americans are not merely indifferent to the appearance of their towns, but are positively devoted to ugliness. This specimen has it all: the disruption of the original design, the revolting cladding material and color choice, the dedicated stretch of blank wall fronting the street, the utter lack of architectural dignity. This is a building perfectly suited to a culture of mental defectives. There is not enough Prozac in the world to cure this."

Obviously it's not only Americans but the 'starchitects' of the western world as a whole that spit in the face of their own societies by producing such execrable monuments to their own and their patrons' flatulent egos.

That two or three subsequent generations will be afflicted by such eye bleach inducing tackiness shows the contempt in which they hold wider society and, in direct proportion, how contemptible they are themselves.

The first time I heard of Frank Ghery Goldberg was back in Chicago when the Millenium Park project was completed. That's one hideous structure I said, but of course my liberal friends were all gaga over it. Looking back, are all commie liberals that fucking stupid? Of course the answer is yes. And then there's the Millennium Park Bean, another monstrosity created by another Jew. Now that I think about it, I'm guessing 90 percent of the public sculptures in Chicago were created by Jews, if not 100 percent. It makes me want to vomit thinking how much Jewish fuckery I tolerated while living there.

p.s. what kind of books did Hitler burn anyway? 🥸🥸🥸
