Your description of the flies in the beer made me laugh. That is one of the reasons the Germans invented covers for their beer steins--to keep the leaves and insects out of their beer. When outdoors, I sometimes use a coaster for that purpose.
A few years on submarine duty in the Navy in my youth cured me of my finicky attitudes about such stuff. I could fill a blog post with food stories that most people would find either amusing and/or disgusting. So suffice it to say that by the time one "graduated" from the submarine service, he was one of two types. Those who fished the flies out before continuing to drink were the "queasy" type.
The ongoing Bud Lite saga has been entertaining and yet, at the same time, a bit pathetic and sad. I didn't want my barista engaging me in earnest discussions on social topics (remember the Starbucks campaign a few years ago?), and neither do I want it from my beer brewer. Perhaps if the message is sent loudly and clearly enough in the marketplace, the lesson will penetrate Corporate America a bit more effectively this time.
But look on the bright side. In the Brave New World to come, you may be able to realize your dream of becoming an NBA Hall of Famer by simply appearing there and "identifying" as a basketball star and then demanding they recognize you by inducting you into the Hall of Fame!
Gee whiz, make your dreams come true: 'identify' as a woman, try out for the WNBA, then just wait for the accolades roll in for your bravery.....of course, showering with the team after a game is up to you!
The Law of Supply and Demand is now considered science denial and hate speech but continues to explain a lot.
As body positivity flourishes in the US and women get increasingly ugly and fat, the remaining attractive women are an increasingly valuable commodity. A growing number of young women can fund college via websites that hook them up with sugar daddies. Only Fans can bring in more money than boring careers.
That leaves your average man with OK looks, average height and a respectable job, not much of a chance to have an attractive girlfriend or wife. After all, even obese single moms deserve tall hunks. Why should they settle? And pity any man they settle for because they will resent and eventually likely grow to hate him.
Body positivity isn't a thing in much of Eastern Asia (especially the Golden Triangle countries) so an attractive woman is not a rare commodity. You can go to 711 and likely find a cashier who is as attractive as the bar girls plus the beer is a lot cheaper. Foreign men though are so astonished to see slender bar girls who will talk with them and have sex with them (for a price but it is always for a price) that some even marry them instead of just going to 711 or the mall to court.
I think this is why Thai men, unlike Thai women, aren't interested in working abroad. If a Thai man goes abroad he will only likely have a shot at a morbidly obese woman who feels he is beneath her. Staying in Thailand he won't have to settle for saving his money for an Only Fan girl's bathwater or his very own sex robot

As a frame of reference, I weighed 285 pounds at the beginning of 2021.
I got as low as 140 before 2021 ended.
I’m running at around 160 today.
My late, long term partner experienced similar fluctuations in size during a multi decade relationship with me.
She had gotten substantially larger in the year or so before her demise.
Retirement, and Covid lockdowns did not help the situation.
My beef with your comment is the seeming focus on size, and sex appeal, over the character of the individuals concerned.
And, in case you didn’t already know, trying to be an intelligent, conscious, life affirming American person, man or woman, is a whole other can of worms.
